Due to the delicate, all natural formulation, you may observe separation, if your foundation does not separate then it is full of fillers and chemicals. We like to use the analogy of natural peanut butter. Natural peanut butter separates because there is no artificial preservatives holding it together.

Shaken well, all the particles bind together and pigments release a raw ingredient smell that goes away once opened.
